Writers to Restructure

Recently, the Guild of Writers held a minor proposal to remove the inactive Guild Councillor of Sound and Vision, Chaos Song. The required 20% of active forum members have cast their ballots and the count is currently a landslide 57 in favor of removal and 0 rejecting.

With all that's left to clear up the Sound and Vision post being the last few days of the required two week period, the Guild Council has posted a new proposal to restructure the Sound and Vision post into a new Creative Direction position that we hope will be able to guide the Guild into MORE and beyond!

All Writers, Maintainers, Messengers, Cartographers, Fine Artists, and folks not affiliated with any Guild are welcome to come and read, discuss, debate, and vote on the new proposal!

My Mysterium: Photo Sharing and Communal Blogging

So we kind of dropped the ball on getting this announced ahead of time, and for that we apologize, but we’ve been working on a way to share each other’s photos and experiences in this wild and wacky web 2.0 worlds we live in. For those who prefer to thoroughly document their experiences using the written word, you can sign up for a blog at http://my.mysterium.net/, or even syndicate your existing blog’s RSS feed. Get in touch with Odo or Alahmnat if you need assistance getting yourself established there.

We also have a Mysterium 2008 group on Flickr for the shutterbugs among us. The address for the group is http://www.flickr.com/groups/Mysterium2008. If you’re unfamiliar with how to contribute photos to a group on Flickr, check out this question in the Flickr FAQ.

Be at Mysterium - on paper!

Can't make it to this weekend's Mysterium? It's not too late to be a Paper Person!

Paper people is a Mysterium tradition where people who can't make it sent pictures of themselves to be there in their place. There is usually a group picture taken with all of the paper people. You can still get yours in. Send your jpg to eleri@mysterium.net by Friday AM!

A warm hello from the Guild of Healers

Guild of Healers:

Our small group has been around since January, 2008, working slowly and carefully to restore the Guild of Healers. There isn't much information about this guild, but it was one of the 18 major guilds in the Cavern. Given that healing in all its forms was as important to the D'ni as to us, the Healers would have had a large, if quiet, presence in the Cavern. We don't, but we do think that we might be able to offer something of service to the general explorer Community.

You are cordially invited you to join us in our discussions and future plans. Our restoration efforts are still taking shape, and this is a great time to be involved in our development. We see ourselves working closely with other guilds and other groups in the community to foster well being and harmony (with care and a healthy dose of humor). Although we won't attempt to create a "utopia" (humans and D'ni alike are far too intelligent for that), we are discussing the possibility of a Ceremonial Age which the D'ni may have used for such events as weddings, memorials, celebrations (although not large events like St. Pat's parade), group conversations, individual contemplations, and walking meditations. If something like this interests you, we would love to have your input.

The Archiver Issue 14 Out Now!

Issue 14 of The Archiver is now complete and ready for download.

In this month’s edition we bring you a massive, EXCLUSIVE interview with the Mysteriacs, Adrian and Patrick; containing many interesting details about the upcoming movie. We also chat to Indy from the Guild of Greeters, and have a look back at Eder Gira with Dr CrisGer. With a heavy heart we say farewell to explorer, CAGrayWolf (Wolfie) who sadly passed away recently, but our very own Jeff Wise will bring a smile back to your face as he takes you on a journey back to those first steps in Teledahn.

Once again we say thank you to our growing group of freelancers; with your help we have created yet another great publication. MORE is coming, with even more opportunity for The Archiver to grow. If you want to pitch a few words into this fan production, shoot your ideas over to the.archiver00[at]gmail[dot]com, and we'll give your work a shot in the magazine. Comments and feedback also welcome (and very much wanted!!).

The Archiver #14: Bring you MORE information, MORE interviews, and MORE fun!
